【About Kakogawa City (兵庫県加古川市)】
Located in southern Hyogo prefecture, Kakogawa sits between the cities of Himeji and Akashi. A large portion of the city is built on reclaimed land from the Seto Inland Sea. While the southern part of the city is industrialized and urban, the northern side is much more rural. Due to its location and fast access to many major cities by train, numerous bedroom communities have developed within Kakogawa for commuters to Kobe and Osaka. Local attractions include Kakurin-ji (a Buddhist temple) and Saijō Kofun Cluster (a group of ancient burial mounds). The local delicacy is Katsumeshi (a beef cutlet served on top of plate of rice with demi-glace sauce). Kakogawa is a great area for those who love the Kansai region but want a little more peace and quiet while still being able to travel to Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto with ease. It's an excellent place to live and teach in 2025!
