【Be an ALT right in Tokyo!】
Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) for Fuchu City, Tokyo. This position is available from September 2025, but apply now to secure it today. 【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.

⚫ Contract period: September 2nd, 2025 to March 19th, 2026
⚫ Contract type(s): Part-time (Daily-rate)
⚫ Available level(s): Elementary schools
⚫ Total number of working days: 105
⚫ General working hours: Between 7:45 am to 17:00 pm (actual working time: 7 hours 00 minutes)
⚫ Salary range:  Between 12,450 yen to 13,300 yen / day
⚫ Benefits: Social insurance, paid holidays (as stipulated by the contract)

【About Part-Time Positions】
Please note that this position will have you working anywhere between 1 to 5 days per week, but the hours are the same as a full school day (shift between 7:45 to 16:15). Daily-rate positions are recommended for those with easily adaptable and flexible schedules in their other work.

【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:

🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Be a university graduate holding a degree
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the full contract period (until March 2026)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers

Fuchu City is one of the largest cities in the greater Tokyo area. It is a cozy, suburban area, easily accessible to Central Tokyo (About 45 minutes to Shinjuku by train) and bordered to the south by the Tama River. Sites of interest include the open-air Native Forest museum, Ōkunitama Shrine, and the Suntory Musashino Brewery. There are many other parks and museums in this greener part of Tokyo, and it's a great place to live and work while still having easy access to the heart of the city. Fuchu features a solid English program and is a great place to develop your craft as an English educator.
