About

Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring for Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) positions in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This position is available from January 2025, but you can apply now and secure it in advance. If you are looking to relocate to Sagamihara or a nearby area commutable to it, we can assist you. 【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.
⚫ Contract period: January 8th, 2025 March 25th, 2025
*Possibility of continuing in this area for the following school year (based on evaluation)
⚫ Contract type: Full-Time
⚫ Level: Junior high school
⚫ General working hours: Between 8:00 to 17:00 (actual working time: 7 hours)
⚫ Salary range: Between 225,000 to 250,000 yen / month
⚫ Benefits: Social Insurance
【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:
🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 University graduate holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2025)
