Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) for Rokkasho Village, Aomori Prefecture. These positions start in April 2025, but you can apply now to secure one in advance. 【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.
⚫ Contract period: April 7th 2025 to March 26th 2026
⚫ Contract type: Full-time
⚫ Level: Kindergarten, elementary and junior high schools
⚫ General working hours: Between 7:45 am to 16:30 pm (actual working time: 6 hours 00 minutes)
⚫ Salary range: Between 235,000 yen to 251,000 yen / month
⚫ Benefits: Social Insurance, Paid holidays (as stipulated by the contract)
【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:
🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺Be a university graduate holding a bachelor's degree or higher
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2026)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers
🔺 Hold a valid Japanese Driver's License or International Driving Permit (IDP) and be able to drive a car in Japan.
