【Teach near Mount Fuji! Be an ALT in Susono】
Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) for Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This position starts immediately, so apply now. If you are looking to relocate to Susono or nearby area commutable to it, we can assist you. Please read on for more information.

【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.

⚫ Contract period: Immediate to March 19th, 2025
⚫ Contract type: Full-Time
⚫ Level: Junior high schools
⚫ General working hours: Between 8:00 am to 16:30 pm (actual working time: 7 hours 45 minutes)
⚫ Salary range: Between 225,000 yen to 250,000 yen (monthly rate)
⚫ Benefits: Social Insurance

【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:

🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Be a university graduate
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2025)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers
🔺 Have at least one (1) of the following:
- You hold a valid TEFL/TESOL/equivalent teaching certificate
- You have prior ALT experience in Japan
🔺 Hold a valid Japanese Driver's License or International Driving Permit. For those who do not own a vehicle, we can assist you with securing a rental car.

【About Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture (静岡県裾野市)】
Susono is located in far eastern Shizuoka, on the foothills of Mount Fuji, Mount Ashitaka, and the Hakone Mountains. An industrial city with a suburban feel, it produces everything from cars and camera parts to strawberries and pork. Local attractions include the Mt. Fuji Museum, Gurimpa amusement park, the Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti ski resort, and the famous Fuji Safari Park, which allows visitors to see animals from their cars or up close at a petting zoo. Nearby Mishima City is accessible by car, train or bus, and connects to the Tokaido Shinkansen. A scenic country city- Mount Fuji is always visible and some parts of it lie within city limits- Susono is an excellent place to take your teaching career this year.
