【About Kishiwada City (大阪府岸和田市)】
Kishiwada is a historic former castle town in southern Osaka Prefecture, best known internationally for the Kishiwada Danjiri Matsuri, a festival where massive 4-ton wooden floats are pulled through narrow streets at fast speeds. The city also offers a blend of traditional charm and local legends, centered around the reconstructed Kishiwada Castle and its unique stone garden. There is also Tenshoji Temple (Tako Jizo) dedicated to the story of an octopus and a white monk who are said to have protected Kishiwada. Conveniently located on the route between Kansai International Airport and central Osaka, it serves as a proud bastion of "Old Osaka" culture, where the community's identity is deeply tied to its artisan craftsmanship and a classical heritage. Make Kishiwada your next teaching destination today!
