【About Tainai City (新潟県胎内市)】
Tainai City is located in northeastern Niigata prefecture, about 1 hour from Niigata City. It features beautiful sea, mountain, and pastoral landscapes and hosts annual tulip, star, and ski festivals. Those who enjoy the sea can visit Muramatsuhama Swimming Beach while those who enjoy snow can visit Tainai Ski Resort. Other local attractions include Tossaka Castle, and Oppo-ji, a Buddhist temple with a 3-story pagoda. If you're looking for a taste of northern Japanese country life without having to go all the way up to Hokkaido, Tainai's a great place to find it!
